Pattern Design + Construction :

Do you ever dig into a pint of your favorite ice cream only to find your hands freezing? Who wants to go through the hassle of scooping it into a bowl, only for that to get cold too? That’s why I created this quick and easy crochet ice cream cozy! These handmade cozies are perfect for keeping your hands warm while you enjoy your treat and make charming gifts for a night in with friends or loved ones. Let’s make some and get ready to Netflix & chill in style!

Each crochet ice cream cozy is crafted in the round using bulky yarn, making it both beginner-friendly and a perfect gift idea. With just a few rows, this cozy is quick to make and easy to master. The completed ice cream sleeve stands about 4 inches tall and is designed to fit a standard-sized pint of ice cream. For this tutorial, I used a pint of Halo Top ice cream to demonstrate the sizing.

For this project, we’ll use Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick yarn. This bulky yarn is a top choice for many crocheters due to its softness and variety of color options. Available both at local craft stores and online, it adds a beautiful texture while keeping your hands warm. The quality of this yarn ensures that your project progresses quickly and easily.
